It's Fall Y'all! Reminder, no school for students on Friday, Oct. 20. Fall break is Monday, Oct. 23. All schools and district offices are closed.

​There will be no school Friday (10/20) or Monday (10/23). School will resume on Tuesday (10/24). Have a safe and wonderful Fall Break!

Update: As far as we know, it sounds like the road will be partially closed instead of fully closed for the next three weeks. If we hear anything new, we will try to keep you posted. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Parents: Just a heads up, the road west of the school (by the canal) will be closed tomorrow (10/17) for construction starting at 8:00 am. If you are coming from the east (Enoch area), you won't have any problems getting to school. If this affects your drop-off route, please plan ahead. Address: 1925 West

A phone call from a child who is crying can stir up all kinds of emotions for a parent. Scammers are playing on that vulnerability and calls targeting parents are on the rise. Reports of parents receiving such calls have been reported at some of our elementary schools. If you receive a call like this during the school day, please do the following: * Call dispatch at 435-586-2955 and report the phone call. * Call your child’s school to reassure yourself that your child is OK. * Do not give the caller personal identifying information by speaking your child’s name. * Stay calm. * Keep your social media settings on private so scammers do not have access to information about your children.

Picture Retakes will be held on October 10th.

Don’t forget to sign your child/children up for our school wide reading program! We have 102 active Reading Rattlers so far, with 12,116 tracked reading minutes! Parents should’ve received the flyer during SEPs. You can also go onto our school webpage to find step by step instructions. Prizes for the badges earned, should be getting to the school soon. Also, all students that are signed up, will have their name go into a drawing on Monday morning for a prize.

Reflections are due via online on Friday, October 6th, but can be uploaded anytime before then (the date is wrong on the flyer). For more information, go to the "News" section. Click the article, "October Happenings".

Remember next week is SEP Conferences (October 2nd-6th). School will be dismissed @ 2:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and Friday @ 1:30 pm.

Check those backpacks! Move-a-thon envelopes should have been sent home by now. Get your kids registered on Fundhub! This fundraiser will help us fund the activities and programs for the year. Any additional funds raised beyond what we have budgeted for will go toward changing our take-home library to decodable books- I'll post more about that later! Envelopes with cash/check donations will be collected September 28. And if you have more cash donations we will accept them until October 5 to count toward incentive prizes. Incentives earned will be handed out as soon as we can (remember we are volunteers!) and Swig Delivery will be on a future date arranged later.

We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the book, "The Dot" this week in the library. Friday (September 15th) is wear DOT/S or POLKA DOTS day.

If you signed your child up for summer school, please check your email frequently. I just sent out an email about busing (if you requested it). Please commit to this schedule so as to not alter the bus schedule. Summer school will be held June 12th-29th, Monday through Thursday. --Session 1- 9:00-10:30 am --Session 2- 10:45 am-12:15 pm. Teacher Request Forms are available online under the "News" section for the 2023-24 school year. They will only be accepted April 17-21.

Due to snow accumulation, all Iron County School District schools will follow a two-hour delayed start on Tuesday, April 4. School start times and transportation schedules will run two hours later than normal. Morning preschool and kindergarten classes are canceled. Please check secondary bell schedules for specific class period start times. The school day will end at the regular time. Early morning practices and other before school activities will not be held. Any field trips scheduled for departure at the beginning of the school day are also canceled. All-day kindergarten classes will follow the two-hour late start schedule of their associated elementary school. If the weather continues to create unsafe conditions, more information will be communicated by 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. As during all adverse conditions, we encourage parents to make attendance decisions for their children based on their specific ability to get to school safely. We trust parents to make the ultimate call when it comes to their child's safety. Teachers will work with students to make up any missed assignments.
